In a significant milestone, the Dubai Financial Audit Authority (FAA) has marked the graduation of its third cohort from the Professional Diploma – Government Auditor Programme. This key initiative, developed in collaboration with the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), aims to train and empower Emirati talent poised for critical audit roles within Dubai’s governmental framework.

As part of its mission to bolster governance and transparency, this programme included 22 graduates from 13 distinct governmental entities. They went through a rigorous training experience that combined academic learning with practical applications, equipping them for essential oversight responsibilities.

The first portion of the programme concentrated on theoretical instruction, offering 29 specialized modules that spanned various relevant topics such as artificial intelligence in auditing, International Standards on Auditing, IPSAS, regulatory legislation, financial statement analysis, enterprise risk assessment, and corporate governance. This comprehensive knowledge base aligns with international standards and current regulatory demands.

Transitioning to the practical phase, participants engaged in actual audit assignments under the mentorship of seasoned FAA professionals. This experiential learning fostered confidence and real-world skills, ensuring graduates are well-prepared to fulfill their roles according to global best practices.

His Excellency Abdulrahman Al Hareb, Director General of the Dubai FAA, emphasized that this graduation highlights the Authority’s dedication to nurturing a robust regulatory ecosystem rooted in qualified national professionals. He acknowledged that this programme endows participants with essential tools and insights necessary for effective governance aligned with the Government of Dubai's ethos.

Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of MBRSG, extended his congratulations to the successful candidates. He affirmed that this initiative mirrors the government’s vision of empowering Emirati capabilities to elevate institutional excellence, reiterating that human capital is the backbone of a progressive governmental framework.

He also noted that the collaboration with the FAA exemplifies effective government synergy aimed at promoting transparency and governance. MBRSG remains committed to enhancing national competencies and ensuring that auditors are equipped with cutting-edge skills rooted in global standards, thereby fostering responsible fiscal management and optimized governmental performance.

The Government Auditor Programme continues to establish itself as a key driver of professional growth in Dubai, imparting critical auditing skills, data analysis know-how, a firm understanding of financial legislation, and strong ethical principles to its participants.
