Under the aegis of Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, Abu Dhabi is preparing to host the 4th International Autism Conference from 25 to 28 April 2026 at the Abu Dhabi Energy Center.
This prestigious event is organized by the Zayed Authority in partnership with Lotus Holistic Group, ADNOC, and Skills4Mind, along with collaboration from key local government bodies, such as the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi, Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, and Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.
A Growing Global Hub for Autism Dialogue
Continuing its legacy, this conference seeks to further expand on its previous success. The 2025 edition drew more than 2,000 participants across 15 nations, cementing its role as a pivotal global platform dedicated to autism awareness.
The event hosted 1,360 attendees from the UAE and over 400 international delegates, reflecting its extensive impact and growing international recognition within the scientific and healthcare sectors.
For the 2026 conference, the organizers anticipate participation will exceed 3,000 attendees from over 25 different countries, marking a major milestone for international collaboration.

Dr Taha Reda, Founder of Skills4Mind and Head of the AI and Innovation track, emphasized the increasing importance of AI in supporting individuals with autism.
He noted that AI can facilitate early diagnosis, personalized learning, enhanced communication, and emotional support, all contributing to greater independence and social integration for autism individuals. He also underscored the need for ethical governance in employing these technologies.
Family-Centric Approaches and Social Impact
Aligning with the UAE’s Year of Family, the conference stresses the crucial role that families play in rehabilitation and empowerment.
As Abdullah Abdul Aali Al Humaidan, Director General of the Zayed Authority, stated, the event is designed to convert knowledge into actionable solutions that improve quality of life.
“We are enhancing AI applications, bolstering partnerships, and prioritizing sustainable influence through integrated services and family empowerment,” he noted.

She also highlighted the achievements of the 2025 awareness campaign, announcing that Jumana Murad has been appointed Autism Ambassador for 2026, recognizing her contributions to raising awareness and portraying the experiences of autism families.
