In a significant development, the notorious Indian gangster Rao Inderjeet Yadav has been apprehended in Dubai after evading law enforcement for months. His arrest is tied to a 2024 murder case involving a businessman in Rohtak, as confirmed by Haryana Police sources.

Dubai authorities are reportedly gathering necessary documentation concerning Yadav, who may soon face extradition back to India. Nonetheless, his legal representative has contested these reports, asserting that Yadav has not been arrested.

The gangster is implicated in over 15 criminal offenses in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, including coercion, extortion, fraudulent activities, and violent crimes.

Last year, the Enforcement Directorate initiated an investigation for money laundering linked to Yadav following the murder of a financier. Raids in Delhi and Gurugram during the investigation led to the seizure of luxurious vehicles, substantial cash amounting to around ₹17 lakh, and various incriminating documents.

Yadav was suspected of acting as an enforcer, coercing settlements between private funders and businesses, often in the context of severe financial disputes.

His name came to public attention after being connected to the murder of financier Manjeet Dighal in December 2024. He subsequently fled the country, becoming linked to other high-stakes incidents, including a shooting at singer Rahul Fazilpuria’s home and an incident connected to YouTuber Elvish Yadav.

Yadav has recently proclaimed his innocence from an undisclosed location within Dubai, labeling himself as a “victim of a conspiracy” instead of a criminal.

His arrest is viewed as a pivotal moment for law enforcement, with anticipation building regarding the forthcoming extradition proceedings.
