This pivotal meeting occurred as part of the FNC delegation's visit to the European Parliament headquarters in Strasbourg, France. Both parties delved into significant shared concerns, such as women empowerment, enhancing female representation in decision-making roles, and their vital roles in peace and security initiatives. They also touched on the need for multilateral collaboration and the fight against hate speech and discrimination.
During discussions, Sara Falaknaz underscored the UAE's exemplary record in empowering women, stating that Emirati women are integral to the nation's advancement and decision-making framework, aided by the leadership since the inception of the Union.
She elaborated on the UAE’s peaceful nuclear energy initiative, asserting that their nuclear facilities are governed by stringent international safety, security, and transparency standards, in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). This demonstrates the UAE's dedication to the peaceful utilization of nuclear resources.
Conversely, Lina Gálvez commended the UAE’s strides in women's empowerment, particularly the advances made in securing representation within parliamentary sectors. She pointed out that numerous European nations continue to confront hurdles in enhancing women’s roles in decision-making realms.
