Firdaus Women’s Orchestra Set to Dazzle at Expo City Dubai

In observance of National Month and the 54th Eid Al Etihad, Expo City Dubai is set to host a captivating evening on Tuesday, 2 December, featuring the Firdaus Women’s Orchestra at the House of Arts. This memorable event is organized by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, in collaboration with Expo City Dubai.

Under the direction of esteemed Lebanese conductor Harout Fazlian, the orchestra will perform the piece Zayed and Rashid, inspired by verses from “The People and the Leader”, penned by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. This performance pays tribute to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum for their foundational roles in the Union. The evening will also showcase music reflecting the UAE’s rich cultural heritage.

According to Brand Dubai, the concert embodies the spirit of unity and progress that has shaped the nation while celebrating milestones like Expo City Dubai—a testament to the country's vision and capability to actualize ideas. This collaboration is part of broader National Month efforts aimed at boosting national pride and fostering appreciation for the founding fathers.

Choosing the House of Arts as the venue highlights its emerging status as a hub for Emirati creativity. This multidisciplinary space fosters music, performing arts, culinary traditions, and various cultural expressions rooted in the UAE and wider Gulf heritage, narrating the nation’s journey from its inception to its contemporary achievements.

The Firdaus Women’s Orchestra, which rose to fame during Expo 2020 Dubai, will bring its members together again for this occasion. Their performance signifies a continued connection to the UAE’s cultural narrative, merging talent, tradition, and national pride in a night dedicated to honoring the nation’s story.

Last year, Brand Dubai unveiled the song Zayed and Rashid as part of the inaugural #ZayedAndRashid campaign. This year’s performance further perpetuates that homage, showcasing the enduring legacy of the UAE’s founding leaders and the values that continue to guide the nation’s advancement.
