Etihad Airways has partnered with Tunisair through a new codeshare agreement, designed to enhance air travel connectivity between Abu Dhabi and North Africa, catering to the escalating demand for travel between these regions.
With this arrangement, passengers can book journeys between Abu Dhabi and Tunis using the flight codes of either airline on Etihad-operated trips. This collaboration allows travelers to manage their journey under a single ticket with easy check-in and baggage handling to their destination.
The codeshare applies to Etihad’s three weekly flights on the Abu Dhabi–Tunis route, which commenced on November 1, 2025. These flights are managed using the Airbus A321LR, which offers three classes of service: First, Business, and Economy.
Etihad Airways CEO Antonoaldo Neves noted that this agreement improves access to Abu Dhabi for North African travelers, highlighting the rising interest in the emirate for business, tourism, and family visits.
Tunisair CEO Halima Ibrahim Khouaja remarked that this collaboration widens travel choices by linking the Maghreb and African markets with the Gulf, emphasizing Abu Dhabi's significance as a strategic destination.
Tunisair has over 75 years in operations, serving numerous destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and North America. Meanwhile, Etihad Airways boasts over 40 global codeshare partnerships, providing access to more than 500 destinations around the globe.
