Elon Musk and Prince Andrew named in new Jeffrey Epstein records

Post by : Mina Carter

Newly released files connected to Jeffrey Epstein, the late American financier and convicted sex offender, have once again brought global attention to his circle of influence. These files, handed to the U.S. House Oversight Committee by the Epstein Estate, mention the names of billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk and Prince Andrew, Duke of York.

The documents form the third set of records made public and include flight logs, phone messages, ledgers, and daily schedules from Epstein’s operations. The revelations have reignited questions about how far Epstein’s connections stretched and what role, if any, his famous associates may have played.

Elon Musk’s Name in Epstein Records

One note from December 6, 2014, includes a reminder that reads:

“Reminder: Elon Musk to island Dec. 6 (is this still happening?).”

This appears to show that Epstein or his assistants had plans involving Musk and his private island in the Caribbean. Musk has repeatedly said that he was invited by Epstein but declined to visit. He has also denied having any relationship with Epstein beyond casual contact.

The new files do not prove Musk visited the island, but they confirm Epstein had reached out to him. Musk’s representatives were asked again to comment after the release of these documents.

Prince Andrew on Flight Manifest

Another part of the records includes a flight manifest from May 12, 2000, listing Prince Andrew as a passenger. The flight traveled from Teterboro, New Jersey, to West Palm Beach, Florida, with Epstein and his close associate Ghislaine Maxwell also on board.

Ghislaine Maxwell was later convicted in 2021 for conspiring with Epstein to traffic underage girls. Prince Andrew has always strongly denied any wrongdoing or involvement in Epstein’s crimes.

In addition, a ledger mentions payments for massages for someone named “Andrew” in February and May 2000. However, it is not clear if this refers to Prince Andrew, as the name is common and the record is vague.

Timeline of Prince Andrew’s U.S. Trip

Around the same period, Buckingham Palace records confirm that Prince Andrew was in the United States. On May 11, 2000, the Palace stated he attended a reception in New York for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC). Another entry showed he returned to the United Kingdom on May 15, 2000.

While these official dates align with the ledger entries, no direct evidence confirms Prince Andrew’s involvement in the massage references.

Other Well-Known Names in the Files

The files also include references to other well-known figures:

  • Peter Thiel, co-founder of PayPal and a major internet entrepreneur, was listed for a planned lunch in November 2017.

  • Steve Bannon, former advisor to U.S. President Donald Trump, recorded a planned breakfast on February 17, 2019.

  • Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft, was named in tentative plans for a breakfast party in December 2014.

Bill Gates later admitted meeting Epstein several times but told reporters in 2022 that it had been a “mistake.”

It is important to note that the documents do not accuse any of these individuals of criminal activity. They only show that Epstein tried to maintain connections with influential and wealthy people.

Background: Jeffrey Epstein’s Crimes

Jeffrey Epstein was a financier with ties to powerful people in politics, business, and entertainment.

  • In 2008, he struck a plea deal in Florida after being accused of molesting a 14-year-old girl. He served 13 months in jail under the agreement, which many critics considered too light for the crimes alleged.

  • In July 2019, Epstein was arrested again on federal charges of sex trafficking minors.

  • In August 2019, while awaiting trial, he died by suicide in his jail cell in New York.

Epstein’s death led to worldwide shock and frustration, as many survivors felt robbed of a proper trial that could have revealed the full extent of his network and crimes.

Democrats Call for Full Disclosure

Democrats on the House Oversight Committee argue that the newly released files show Epstein’s powerful connections and demand that more documents be made public.

Committee spokesperson Sara Guerrero said:

“It should be clear to every American that Jeffrey Epstein was friends with some of the most powerful and wealthiest men in the world. Every new document produced provides new information as we work to bring justice for the survivors and victims.”

Democrats want the Attorney General to push for the full set of Epstein files to be released, believing it will help survivors find justice.

Republicans Accuse Democrats of Politics

Republicans on the committee, however, accused Democrats of using the Epstein files for political purposes. They argue that the focus should be on justice for victims, not selective document releases. Republicans promised they would soon release the full set of records.

Their statement said:

“Democrats are putting politics over victims. The focus should be on exposing all facts and ensuring justice, not selective releases.”

Survivors Waiting for Justice

For the survivors of Epstein’s abuse, each new batch of files is painful but also important. Many victims have long demanded that all records be made public, arguing that Epstein’s circle of influence allowed him to avoid accountability for years.

Although Epstein himself is dead, survivors and their supporters want more light on his powerful friendships and connections. They believe that only a full public release of documents can provide closure and prevent similar abuses from happening in the future.

The release of new Epstein files has again drawn global attention to his vast network of connections. While the documents mention names such as Elon Musk, Prince Andrew, Peter Thiel, Steve Bannon, and Bill Gates, there is no evidence so far that these individuals were directly involved in Epstein’s crimes.

However, the fact that Epstein had access to such high-profile figures continues to raise serious questions. The debate in Congress over releasing the full set of documents is ongoing. For survivors, every new detail feels like progress toward long-awaited justice, even though Epstein himself can no longer face trial.
