Abu Dhabi's Health Festival 2025 Kicks Off This Friday

Post by : Bianca Hayes

Abu Dhabi is set to launch the Festival of Health 2025 on Friday, celebrating a commitment to healthier lifestyles. Coordinated by the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre alongside the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi and numerous partners, this year’s event anticipates over 30,000 attendees in three distinct regions.

The festival will take place throughout December, starting at Al Hudayriyat Island from December 12 to 16, followed by activities at Madinat Zayed Public Park in Al Dhafra from December 19 to 21, and concluding at Al Jahili Park in Al Ain from December 26 to 28. Each venue will be transformed into an engaging space aimed at promoting practical wellbeing.

This edition aligns with the newly implemented Healthy Living Strategy, focusing on simplifying healthy choices for all residents. With more than 140 activities aligned with the festival’s main themes of movement, nutrition, sleep, and mental wellbeing, the program promises inclusivity and engagement.

A standout feature is the “city moov challenge,” a city-wide digital experience encouraging participants to engage in both mental and physical tasks across various locations. Rewards await those who complete this challenge, fostering a spirit of continuous participation.

The festival sees a robust collaboration of partners, including PureHealth, Sakina, the Department of Municipalities and Transport, and others. The Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi serves as the Official Community Partner, with Abu Dhabi Media Network named the Official Media Partner.

In addition, a host of community partners—like Special Olympics UAE, Active Abu Dhabi, and Boehringer Ingelheim—will implement specialized programs throughout the festival. The support from organizations such as Eli Lilly, ZHO, and Lululemon further enhances the reach and impact of the event.

Designed to be inclusive, the Festival of Health invites families, youth, seniors, and individuals with disabilities to explore fitness classes, cooking demos, wellness workshops, competitions, and engaging experiences fostering sustainable lifestyle changes.

This initiative is part of ADPHC’s commitment to regular health screenings and proactive habits, embodying Abu Dhabi’s vision for a future focused on health rather than just treatment.
