The Al Dhafra Youth Council has proudly unveiled its Youth Imprint initiative during the Liwa International Festival 2026. Aiming to highlight the significant roles of young individuals and youth councils, this initiative seeks to foster community engagement and support national events.

By implementing meaningful projects with social, cultural, and sports aspects, the initiative encourages spirited youth participation throughout the festival. It serves as a collaborative platform for youth endeavors and partner organizations, cultivating innovative experiences that showcase young people's capabilities and empower them.

Youth Imprint is the first holistic integration of youth councils within the Liwa International Festival’s setup, illustrating the increasing significance of youth involvement in bolstering national events and enhancing community impact.

Collaborating with over 15 different partners from the governmental, ministerial, and private sectors, alongside youth councils, the initiative aims to empower youth and elevate their roles in community life, successfully engaging more than 600 young people and community members across the UAE.

Throughout the festival, the Council curated eight diverse activities, including dialogue sessions, youth circles, workshops, cinema festivals, community activations, and sports tournaments. These initiatives were designed to nurture essential skills, stimulate leadership, and create avenues for dialogue and experience exchange among young participants.

Significantly, the initiative featured the inaugural Tebah Challenge and a Padel Tournament for Youth Councils, enhancing communication, teamwork, and healthy competition among youth councils across the nation.

Various youth circles addressed major social issues like “From the Year of Community to the Year of Family” and “Youth Challenges with Awareness and Responsibility,” helping young individuals grasp their roles in fostering social cohesion and upholding community values.

In its community outreach efforts, the Council facilitated the Knots of Liwa activation in collaboration with The Knot. This event, focused on families and youth, showcased a collective art installation inspired by traditional Emirati crafts, symbolizing Liwa’s identity and enhancing national unity.

Additionally, the Community Dialogue initiative, titled Dalma of the Future: Innovative Solutions for Community Empowerment, spotlighted developmental challenges in remote areas while showcasing innovative ideas aimed at enhancing community welfare.

The Al Dhafra Youth Council emphasized that its broad partnerships considerably amplified the initiative’s effectiveness, demonstrating unified efforts to empower youth while aligning with the UAE’s national development vision.

The Youth Imprint initiative aligns seamlessly with the Council’s continuous efforts to invest in youth, encouraging their active involvement in community development and participation in major national events, especially in the Al Dhafra region.
