The General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat has released the official timings for Eid Al Adha prayers across the UAE. On Wednesday morning, worshippers will gather in mosques and designated prayer sites to celebrate this significant Islamic festival.
In Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman, the prayers will kick off at 5:45am, while Abu Dhabi's prayers will begin at 5:51am. Residents in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah can attend prayers starting at 5:43am, with Umm Al Quwain's prayers commencing at 5:44am.
It’s important to note that prayer times may vary slightly due to geographical differences and the approved prayer calendar.
Eid Al Adha prayers are held shortly after sunrise, consisting of two rakats led by an imam, followed by a sermon that reflects on the essence of Eid, focusing on themes of sacrifice, compassion, and gratitude.
Participants typically begin their morning with takbeerat, expressing praises to God, before sharing Eid greetings and enjoying the company of loved ones.
This year's sermon in mosques throughout the UAE will revolve around the theme “Our Eid is Truthfulness and Sacrifice.” It will highlight crucial values such as sincerity, compassion, and social unity.
Additionally, the sermon will encourage the strengthening of family bonds during the Eid celebrations and promote tolerance, generosity, and mutual support within the community.
