At the conclusion of the 2024-25 academic year, Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Park celebrated a significant milestone, reporting a student body exceeding 38,500. This impressive 15% growth from 2023-24 underscores Dubai's emerging status as a preferred destination for higher education on a global scale.
The two districts attract scholars from over 170 nations, offering an extensive array of more than 600 academic programs, ranging from undergraduate degrees to vocational qualifications and doctoral studies, provided by top-tier universities and skilled institutions.
Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President at both districts, remarked, "The diverse capabilities of our students highlight the allure of Dubai for the brightest minds around the world. Our environments are designed to inspire innovation and equip students with essential skills for the future, aligning with the Dubai Economic Agenda 'D33' and the Education 33 Strategy 'E33.'"
Renowned universities in these hubs include Amity University, Curtin University, Heriot-Watt University Dubai, and others, while prestigious postgraduate programs are provided by institutions like IIMA and the University of Manchester Dubai.
Additionally, vocational training centers such as ACCA Middle East and the International Centre for Culinary Arts enhance the educational ecosystem.
Dubai International Academic City is dedicated to academic excellence, featuring bespoke campuses and laboratories, whereas Dubai Knowledge Park emphasizes lifelong learning, providing Grade-A office spaces and community amenities.
Both hubs host events like Campus Talks, which enable students to connect with industry leaders, and UNCOVERED, a talent competition offering cash awards. The Knowledge Assembly gathers academia, industry, and government leaders to foster collaborations like the Higher Education Leadership Network.
The ecosystem supported by TECOM Group benefits both students and educators, ensuring seamless access to corporate and government services through axs and entrepreneurial support from in5, cultivating ideas into viable businesses. One notable venture, Relphacare Technologies, was initiated by a student from Amity University Dubai.
Together, Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Park constitute the Education Cluster of TECOM Group, which also oversees significant business districts, including Dubai Internet City and Dubai Design District (d3).
