The Dubai Film and Games Commission marked its presence at the 79th Cannes Film Festival from 12 to 23 May 2026, emphasizing Dubai's commitment to enhancing its footprint in the international film scene.

The Commission's goal is to establish enduring relationships with global studios, producers, and market players, showcasing Dubai’s thriving film production ecosystem, cutting-edge infrastructure, and creative prowess.

A delegation headed by CEO Hesham Al Olama conducted meetings with various international studios during the festival, discussing collaborative prospects and strategies to attract more foreign productions to Dubai.

Officials highlighted that Dubai's engagement at Cannes underscores a broader vision to foster a dynamic and competitive film industry characterized by advanced infrastructure, talented professionals, and consolidated government backing.
