Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar is making waves at the box office as it celebrates its third Friday with robust box office collection. The film collected Rs 22.5 crore on Day 15, bringing its net total in India to Rs 483 crore. With this trajectory, it is poised to surpass the Rs 500 crore mark in Indian markets by Day 16.
Dhurandhar’s international box office performance is equally impressive, accumulating a global gross of Rs 710.5 crore, positioning it among the top Hindi hits of 2025. On its latest Friday, overall cinema occupancy for Hindi films was recorded at 35.95%, with morning shows starting at 16.68%, climbing to midday at 33.96%, achieving 42.86% in the evening, and hitting a peak of 50.28% during night screenings. The Delhi-NCR region led with 1,203 shows at 36.25% occupancy, while Mumbai hosted 927 shows at approximately 36%.
Dhurandhar has now become the highest-grossing film of Ranveer Singh's career, marking a significant commercial turnaround after a period of modest results. It currently stands as the second-highest grossing Hindi movie of the year, trailing only behind Chhaava featuring Vicky Kaushal. The film’s impressive domestic and international ticket sales suggest it might eclipse Chhaava's lifetime total gross of Rs 807.91 crore and has already surpassed notable films like 2.0 and Gadar 2.
Nevertheless, it still lags behind Ranbir Kapoor's Animal (Rs 553.87 crore) and last year's Stree 2 (Rs 597.99 crore) in domestic earnings. Given the absence of major Hindi releases in the immediate weeks, its box office run should remain strong. The next significant Bollywood release is Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, featuring Kartik Aaryan, slated for Christmas, with heavy competition looming from James Cameron's Hollywood production, Avatar: Fire and Ash, which debuted with approximately Rs 20 crore on its first day in India.
Set in Pakistan, this gangster drama is the first part of a two-part franchise, with the sequel expected to release during Eid in 2026. The film stars Ranveer Singh alongside a stellar cast that includes Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun.
