In a disturbing event in northeast Delhi, 24-year-old Faizan was fatally shot at a cafe in Maujpur on Thursday night. Officials have stated that the violence stemmed from a personal grievance.
A video shared on Instagram by the alleged shooter, known as 'moinqureshiii_', features him confessing to the crime. He claims that Faizan had slapped him months prior, fueling his desire for revenge. The suspect insists that neither his family nor friends were involved and that no monetary motives influenced his actions.
"I took Faizan's life due to a personal dispute. My family and friends had no role in this decision. After he slapped me four months ago, I sought revenge," the shooter states in his video. He rebuffed assertions from Faizan's family that financial issues were at play.
Earlier, Faizan's brother, Salman, claimed that his brother was in debt and that both the suspect and his father confronted Faizan about the unpaid loans. Salman is urging law enforcement to arrest both the accuser and his father.
The shooting took place around 10:28 PM at Mr King Lounge and Cafe. Faizan was found critically injured and was transported to Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
According to Salman, Faizan sustained three bullet wounds—one to the head and two to the chest, as well as a laceration on his hand.
Authorities have lodged a case in accordance with pertinent sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act. Several teams have been activated to capture the suspect while investigations continue to uncover the complete details surrounding this tragic crime.
