Vegetable Production Soars in Dashoguz Region

Post by : Shakul

In the Dashoguz Region, agricultural workers have concluded their spring planting of crucial vegetables such as onions, carrots, and cabbage, a move that enhances the agricultural supply chain. Significant planting activities have been reported in districts like Boldumsaz, where extensive areas have been set aside for these vital crops.

Local agricultural statistics indicate that 120 hectares were dedicated to onions, 70 hectares to carrots, and 40 hectares to cabbage in prominent farming zones. Additionally, districts including Akdepe, Shavat, and Garashsyzlyk are showing robust production outputs, with Garashsyzlyk particularly pushing to lead in overall vegetable production for the region.

This season, over 2,200 hectares have been earmarked solely for onion cultivation. Farmers are setting ambitious yield goals of at least 250 centners per hectare by employing enhanced agricultural methods, selecting optimal crops, and managing water resources efficiently. Their seasonal strategies involve planting certain crops in both spring and autumn to maximize output.

The region’s achievements can be credited to a scientific farming approach, integration of modern machinery, and expansion of greenhouse facilities. These improvements have permitted continuous production of vegetables, thereby ensuring a reliable supply of fresh and nutritious produce to consumers.
