The Creative Media Authority (CMA) has successfully wrapped up its inaugural Winter Media Camp in Al Ain, marking a significant step towards cultivating young creative minds across the region.
Held from December 8 to 12 at the Qattara Arts Centre, this camp was conducted in Arabic and tailored specifically for children, introducing them to diverse areas within the creative media landscape. The program aimed to provide an interactive learning atmosphere that sparked creativity and hands-on exploration through age-appropriate tasks.
During this edition, 31 children aged 8 to 12 participated, receiving valuable early insights into storytelling, visual arts, and other interactive creative disciplines. Through guided workshops, they developed foundational skills and had the chance to tap into their creative potential within an encouraging environment.
CMA partnered with various collaborators, including Creative Lab, its talent development division, to deliver the program. Activities encompassed a storytelling workshop hosted by Sandstorm Studio, a short story writing course led by Abu Dhabi Media Network – Majid, and multiple creative sessions organized by Qattara Arts Centre, with focuses on Arabic calligraphy, drawing, and bubble painting.
The Winter Media Camp underscores CMA’s commitment to fostering creative talent in Abu Dhabi from a young age. Its fifth edition in 2025 heralded the first expansion to Al Ain, demonstrating CMA’s dedication to increasing accessibility to creative educational opportunities throughout the emirate and inspiring future generations to pursue careers in the creative sectors.
