Balkan Region Commemorates Constitution and Flag

Vibrant festivities are underway in Turkmenistan’s Balkan velayat as the nation observes Constitution Day and National Flag Day, featuring a range of cultural events, concerts, and patriotic gatherings.

This year's celebrations align with the national theme of “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan The Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” coinciding with the upcoming 35th anniversary of the country’s independence.

Balkanabat city served as the focal point of the festivities, particularly at the Main Flag Square, where dynamic cultural performances drew students, youth leaders, artists, and members of various public organizations from the area.

The event was collaboratively organized by the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly, along with cultural departments, the Women’s Union, and several social organizations.

Speakers at the events emphasized Turkmenistan’s enhanced global standing and acknowledged the efforts of National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in advancing national development and youth initiatives.

Students and young attendees expressed appreciation for the educational resources and social support extended to them. Officials emphasized that the celebrations aim to cultivate patriotism and national pride among youth.

The lively atmosphere was enriched by performances from singers, theater groups, folklore ensembles, and dancers who presented Turkmen traditions, cultural heritage, and national values through engaging music and artistic showcases.

Organizers mentioned that a series of conferences, exhibitions, meetings, and competitions related to Constitution Day and National Flag Day will continue across the Balkan region. Authorities noted that these initiatives promote peace, camaraderie, cultural identity, and dedication to national values among the populace.
