Before dawn on Sunday, a multi-storey building in Angeles City, Pampanga, collapsed, resulting in four deaths and 17 missing individuals, as confirmed by authorities on Monday.
The local Bureau of Fire Protection reported the recovery of three bodies from the debris. Additionally, one person in a nearby apartelle passed away due to falling debris related to the collapse.
Rescue efforts have yielded at least 26 individuals saved by Sunday afternoon; 24 were extricated from the building itself, while two others were rescued from a nearby affected location.
Of the survivors, ten were injured and transported to local hospitals for necessary medical care.
Rescue operations are actively continuing, with emergency teams searching for those still trapped beneath the rubble.
An investigation has been instigated to uncover the cause of the building's collapse.
