Actor-producer Sanjay Khan recounted his first encounter with Zarine, remembering, “I met her when I was 18, and she was 14. Looking into her beautiful eyes felt like looking at the world. I asked her to be my wife, and she replied, ‘If I feel the same after a year, I will say yes.’ I recognized then how wise she was, destined to be an amazing partner.”

The couple cherished a long-lasting bond, recently marking their 59th wedding anniversary in April 2025.
