Bina Ramani Discusses Rekha and Mukesh Aggarwal's Marriage

Designer and social figure Bina Ramani has candidly shared her insights regarding the marriage between Bollywood star Rekha and businessman Mukesh Aggarwal, revisiting a poignant chapter from the past. In a recent interview, Ramani revealed that she played a pivotal role in introducing Rekha to Mukesh, a Delhi-based industrialist, which culminated in their marriage in 1990. Ramani noted that Rekha was experiencing significant emotional turmoil at that time, seeking stability and a serene home environment, which heavily influenced her choice to wed.

Rekha and Mukesh tied the knot in March 1990, but the union was short-lived, ending in separation shortly after. Tragically, Mukesh took his own life soon thereafter, sparking a wave of public discourse and criticism, much of it directed unjustly at Rekha. Over the years, various negative perceptions have emerged without fully grasping the complex emotional backdrop of their marriage.

According to Bina, Rekha was still emotionally entangled with actor Amitabh Bachchan during that time and hadn’t completely let go of their past. Ramani conveyed that Rekha seemed deeply enamored yet emotionally conflicted and troubled. She expressed that the decision to marry Mukesh came unexpectedly, catching many close to her off guard.
