Strengthening Bonds: Bahrain and Pakistan at the IPU Assembly

At the 152nd Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly in Istanbul, Bahrain's Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, engaged in discussions with Pakistan's National Assembly Speaker, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, during their delegation's participation.

This significant meeting emphasized the need for enhanced parliamentary dialogue and collaboration between the two nations, underlining their longstanding partnership.

During their conversation, the Bahraini Speaker acknowledged the robust and historical ties with Pakistan, noting ongoing advancements in cooperative efforts across diverse sectors and commending Pakistan's role in fostering regional peace and stability.

He also reiterated Bahrain's stance on regional security, voicing strong condemnation of recent Iranian actions perceived as threats, which he labeled violations of international law affecting Bahrain, GCC states, and Jordan.

In turn, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stressed Pakistan's dedication to bolstering its partnership with Bahrain, especially in parliament, while aiming to broaden their collaboration in shared interests.

The discussions also encompassed significant regional and international matters, highlighting the necessity for ongoing parliamentary interactions to nurture peace, stability, and proactive dialogue throughout the area.
