Post by : Bianca Hayes

Al Ain is embracing a new chapter of economic diversification and growth horizons. The recent workshop titled Al Ain Horizons Towards the Future 2026, organized by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), gathered strategic partners, investors, government representatives, and entrepreneurs to harmonize their initiatives for the region's advancement.

This gathering aimed at strengthening public-private partnerships, broadening business avenues, and nurturing local talents. Participants engaged in discussions around essential priorities such as strategic project roadmaps and sustainable growth strategies that will position Al Ain as an innovational and diversified economic center.

A major theme of the discussions was smart agriculture and support for productive families, alongside boosting cultural and tourism offerings. By doing so, the aim is to secure Al Ain Region’s distinction as a premier desert oasis while inviting further investment and fostering entrepreneurship.

In the recent years, Al Ain has successfully garnered over AED 128.5 billion (approximately US$35 billion) in non-oil investments from varied sectors, including transportation, energy, and advanced manufacturing. Through coordinated planning and policy efforts, ADDED strives to bolster entrepreneurs, investors, and talents to seize upcoming opportunities.

The workshop encompassed key presentations and focused interactions from vital stakeholders such as the Department of Culture and Tourism, Al Ain International Airport, and Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority among others. Experts offered valuable insights on labor market demands, investment prospects, funding opportunities, and the pivotal role of the private sector in enhancing regional progress.

ADRA, the business development arm of ADDED, emphasized ongoing initiatives to streamline licensing processes, offer expert consultations, safeguard commercial interests, and uphold a solid regulatory landscape to foster entrepreneurial success.

This event symbolizes a pivotal move towards establishing Al Ain Region as a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable economic nucleus within Abu Dhabi, intertwining innovation, investment, and community-driven growth for enduring prosperity.
