Inspiring Charity Efforts in Dubai Aid Over 190 Individuals with AED 18 Million

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai has showcased remarkable progress through its “Fruits of Your Charity” program, which benefitted beyond 190 individuals during Q1 2026 with a total expenditure nearing AED 18 million, underlining a strong commitment to sustainable charitable initiatives.

This program embodies Dubai's aspiration to transform charity into impactful development, focusing on crucial sectors such as healthcare, education, and family welfare.

In the healthcare domain, upwards of AED 1.3 million has been allocated for the treatment of 77 patients, covering medical expenses and supplying essential equipment to enhance their recovery and life quality.

Through the “Chair of Knowledge” initiative, over AED 160,000 was directed towards educational support for students, aiding families in financial need with tuition fees. This effort underscores the crucial role education plays in nurturing future generations.

The housing program, part of the Year of the Family 2026, furnished almost AED 200,000 in support to Emirati families, enhancing living conditions and ensuring stability, a vital aspect of societal wellness.

The “Relief of Distress” scheme was pivotal, assisting financially troubled inmates with AED 1.6 million used to eliminate debts, thus allowing 15 individuals to regain their freedom and pursuit of a fresh start.

Additional initiatives, including the humanitarian outreach, “Jood” platform, and the “Lifeline” campaign, collectively provided over AED 14 million to address various community and humanitarian needs, revealing the extensive impact of IACAD's work.

Mohammed Musabeh Dhahi, CEO of the Charitable Work Sector, remarked that these outcomes signify a move towards sustainable humanitarian investment, emphasizing quality of life improvements, family support, and societal empowerment.

He also indicated that IACAD intends to innovate in its programming and strengthen collaborations to enhance the effectiveness of its philanthropic endeavors, aiming to position Dubai as a global humanitarian leader and center for philanthropy.
