Actress Aditi Rao Hydari has brought to light a troubling case of impersonation on WhatsApp. On November 16, she took to Instagram to let her fans know that someone was masquerading as her on the messaging platform. The impersonator reportedly used her images while reaching out to photographers, claiming to set up "photoshoots."

In her message, Aditi emphasized, “It isn’t me. I don’t communicate this way, and I don’t use any personal number for my professional work. All correspondence goes through my team.” She even shared the WhatsApp number used by the impersonator, urging her audience to remain vigilant. She added, “Please be careful and avoid engaging with that number. If you notice anything suspicious, just reach out to my team. Thank you to everyone who supports and protects me.”

Fans and fellow stars responded to her post, with comedian and influencer Kusha Kapila humorously pointing out that the impersonator fails to capture Aditi’s unique style or authentic Instagram profile picture.

Though the WhatsApp incident sparked concern, Aditi recently enjoyed a calm weekend focused on animal welfare. Last month, she posted pictures of herself playing with rescued dogs and commended the efforts of those committed to caring for stray and abandoned animals. She wrote, “Sundays are for cuddles and squishes. Huge respect to these wonderful people rescuing and caring for these furry friends. A strong message against those who abandon and mistreat them.”

Aditi acknowledged groups like The Pet Café Hyderabad and Devens Hope Society in her posts, showing appreciation for the staff and canines she interacted with, fondly calling them Malli Poo and Mumsie Pie.

On the professional front, Aditi Rao Hydari was recently featured in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, further marking her presence in esteemed projects.

With rising instances of social media impersonation, her cautionary message serves as an essential reminder for fans to verify any contacts claiming to represent celebrities and report suspicious behavior promptly.
