ADEK Launches Initiative for Students to Celebrate UAE Frontline Heroes

The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) is urging students in Abu Dhabi to engage in the “Frontliners Tribute Initiative,” designed to pay tribute to those heroes who safeguard and serve the community.

This initiative is a key component of the National Art Expressions Program and resonates with the UAE’s National Resilience campaign. It invites students from diverse backgrounds and grade levels to share their gratitude through creative outlets, including art, writing, music, and other innovative projects.

ADEK emphasized that this initiative transcends a standard school project. It offers a unique forum for students to honor frontline workers—such as healthcare professionals, teachers, and public safety personnel—who play vital roles in ensuring community safety and health.

Participants can express their creativity in a variety of forms: whether it be poems, artwork, or songs, every contribution is encouraged and valued equally without competition.

In June 2026, ADEK plans to unveil a Digital Gallery showcasing selected works from students, establishing an enduring collection of creative gratitude and unity across the UAE. Exceptional pieces may also find a place in public exhibitions.

Submissions will open on April 27 and close on May 11, 2026. Detailed guidelines and participation instructions will be provided to schools via official channels.

ADEK encourages collaboration from schools and families to help students engage in this initiative, fostering a collective appreciation for frontline heroes through artistic expression.
