The Abu Dhabi Crisis Management Centre (ADCMC) has officially launched a Coordination and Monitoring Centre in the Al Dhafra Region, aimed at enhancing emergency response and preparedness capabilities throughout the area.

Al Dhafra, acknowledged for its vast and varied landscapes, holds significant economic and strategic value within Abu Dhabi. The newly established centre is designed to facilitate swifter and more efficient emergency responses by amplifying ADCMC's field presence and optimizing coordination efforts across the region.

This initiative forms part of ADCMC’s broader strategy to improve crisis readiness throughout the emirate while considering the unique geographic and environmental attributes of each area.

His Excellency Dr Abdulla Hamarain Al Dhaheri, Executive Director of the Response and Recovery Sector at ADCMC, remarked that this development represents a pivotal strategic advancement. Dr Al Dhaheri emphasized that the considerable size, environmental diversity, and economic significance of Al Dhafra necessitate a tailored approach to emergency preparedness and coordination.

Furthermore, Dr Al Dhaheri pointed out that this initiative signifies a transition from a wholly centralized response model to a more decentralized approach, positioning resources closer to potential incidents. This strategy enables expedited decision-making and more effective field responses.

The launch also aligns with ADCMC's overarching mission to cultivate an integrated and adaptable crisis management framework. It fosters collaboration with partners and stakeholders, thus enhancing Abu Dhabi’s capacity to safeguard its populace, infrastructure, and economy from imminent emergencies and disasters.
