England Urged to Rethink Strategy to Revive Ashes
After a poor start to the Ashes, England must change their game plan quickly, says former Australia
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, has officially launched the Al Khail Square project at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club. The initiative aims to fuse the emirate’s equestrian legacy with modern urban living, enhancing the quality of life and supporting integrated communities in Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Mansour examined the new urban design and received an update from Mohammed Abdullah Al Junaibi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, on the project’s pivotal features. These comprise state-of-the-art equestrian facilities, top-tier residential options, modern healthcare centers, commercial outlets, and an exclusive members’ club.
Ali Al Shaiba, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club and Abu Dhabi Turf Club, provided insights into the technical specifics and implementation timelines. Sheikh Mansour underscored that the development symbolizes Abu Dhabi’s robust commitment to equestrian sports and solidifies its status as a premier global hub for horse racing and related activities.
He also emphasized the need for timely completion of the project to the highest standards. Al Shaiba remarked that Al Khail Square will redefine the architectural identity of the club, blending historical legacy with a contemporary vision for upscale living and hospitality.
The project continues the legacy of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, founded in 1976 by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, a longstanding center for sporting and cultural activities in the emirate. The development prioritizes sustainability and superior urban living with green areas, pedestrian-friendly pathways, designs optimized for natural light, modern infrastructure, and advanced cooling systems to ensure year-round comfort.
Strategically located, Al Khail Square is poised to become one of Abu Dhabi’s key real estate destinations. It aims to stimulate new developments, strengthen the city’s urban and cultural infrastructure, and provide both residents and visitors with an experience that harmonizes equestrian tradition with modern luxury and comfort.
