Abu Dhabi: The UAE's seventh Government Annual Meetings opened on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi, with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, presiding over the programme.
Scheduled from November 4 to 6, the gathering brings together more than 500 senior figures from federal and local bodies to coordinate policies, review progress and hasten national priorities.
This year’s programme spotlights growth in strategic areas including artificial intelligence, healthcare, investment and family welfare — sectors seen as essential to the UAE’s sustainable development and global competitiveness.
Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, said the meetings reflect the government’s focus on forward-looking governance and raising citizens’ quality of life, noting their role in strengthening innovation, institutional collaboration and national unity.
Delegates will take part in strategic briefings, leadership panels and a dedicated session on the UAE’s international narrative. Officials also expect several new initiatives to be unveiled that reinforce the country’s drive toward a knowledge-based economy.
The conference will conclude with awards celebrating excellence in culture, creativity and artificial intelligence, recognising teams whose contributions have advanced national goals.
First launched in 2017, the UAE Government Annual Meetings provide a national platform to align government action and accelerate delivery of the ‘We the UAE 2031’ strategy and the UAE Centennial 2071 vision.
