Inter Milan secured the 2025-26 Serie A title after a comfortable 2-0 victory over Parma at San Siro, officially winning the club’s 21st Scudetto with three matches still remaining in the season. The victory confirmed Inter’s dominance in Italian football this year and sparked major celebrations among players and supporters across Milan.

The Nerazzurri entered the match knowing that even a draw would be enough to secure the championship after second-placed Napoli were held to a goalless draw by Como earlier in the weekend. However, Inter showed attacking intent from the beginning and controlled possession for most of the game against Parma.

Inter created several dangerous chances during the first half, with midfielder Nicolo Barella coming close to scoring after hitting the crossbar with a powerful effort. Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki managed to recover quickly and prevent the ball from crossing the line completely, briefly delaying Inter’s celebrations.

The breakthrough finally arrived in first-half stoppage time when French forward Marcus Thuram scored the opening goal after receiving a well-placed pass from Piotr Zielinski. Thuram calmly finished the move to give Inter a deserved lead before halftime and send the San Siro crowd into celebration mode.

Parma tried to respond during the second half and attempted to create pressure through quick counterattacks, but Inter’s defense remained organized and difficult to break down. The home side continued controlling the tempo of the match while limiting Parma’s attacking opportunities.

With around ten minutes remaining, Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan sealed the victory with Inter’s second goal after a strong attacking move involving captain Lautaro Martinez. Mkhitaryan’s finish confirmed the result and officially secured the Serie A crown for Inter.

The title victory marks Inter’s 21st league championship in club history and moves them further ahead of rivals AC Milan in the all-time Serie A title standings. Only Juventus have won more Italian league titles than Inter.

This season’s triumph is also considered a major achievement for head coach Cristian Chivu, who guided Inter to the championship in his first season in charge of the club. Chivu replaced Simone Inzaghi last summer and quickly built a balanced side known for strong defending, aggressive pressing, and attacking football.

Inter’s success this season was built on consistency throughout the campaign. The team scored more than 80 league goals while also maintaining one of the strongest defensive records in Serie A. Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram played key roles in attack, while experienced players such as Barella, Mkhitaryan, and Hakan Calhanoglu provided stability in midfield.

The victory also served as redemption for Inter after last season’s disappointments, when the club narrowly missed out on major trophies. Players described the new title as proof of the squad’s unity, resilience, and determination to return to the top of Italian football.

Following the final whistle, thousands of Inter supporters celebrated inside and outside San Siro as players lifted scarves, waved flags, and thanked fans for their support throughout the season. Celebrations are expected to continue across Milan as the Nerazzurri enjoy another historic moment in the club’s successful history.
