The Dubai Business Events team represented the emirate at IMEX Frankfurt 2026 from May 19 to 21, showcasing a strong lineup alongside 20 key partners from the local MICE sector.

The delegation featured prominent entities including the Dubai World Trade Centre, Coca-Cola Arena, Museum of the Future, and JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, accompanied by various hotels, venues, and destination management firms.

Dubai solidified its status as a premier global business events hub, receiving accolades from the International Congress and Convention Association for ranking as the top city worldwide for the number of attendees at association conferences in 2025. Additionally, it led the Middle East for the highest count of association conferences held.

Cvent also recognized Dubai as the leading destination among the Top 25 Meeting Locations in the Middle East and Africa.

Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, stated that business events are instrumental in propelling Dubai’s sustained economic advancement, fostering tourism, knowledge transfer, industry cooperation, and forging global alliances.

He emphasized that the emirate's presence at IMEX Frankfurt underscores its determination to attract international conventions and exhibitions that contribute lasting value to various sectors, which aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

This year's theme at IMEX Frankfurt, “Design Matters,” resonated with Dubai’s long-term vision of establishing business events that cater not only to attendees but also promote innovation, collaboration, and sustainable growth in the sector.

Dubai’s strategy continues to prioritize the enhancement of venue infrastructure, accessibility, service quality, and industry partnerships. IMEX Frankfurt serves as a pivotal platform for Dubai to connect with global industry leaders, including the International Association of Professional Congress Organizers and Best Cities Global Alliance.

In 2025, Dubai Business Events reported a robust performance with 747 bids submitted and 504 confirmed event wins planned until 2029, reflecting a 15 percent surge from 2024. The upcoming events are anticipated to draw over 272,000 attendees, representing a 29 percent increase in visitor count compared to the previous year.

The city supported 481 business events through DBE in 2025, up from 429 events in the prior year.

Notable international events secured by Dubai include SIBOS 2029, predicted to draw 12,000 delegates, the SPE ATCE Annual Congress 2028 with 8,000 delegates, Apimondia 2027 with 5,000 delegates, and the World Engineers Congress 2027 anticipating 3,000 participants.
